Hi, I’m Amanda Lauren. I’m a design expert and interior stylist who writes for Real Homes, Forbes, Real Simple among other publications. I live in Los Angeles in the historic neighborhood of Hancock Park with my husband, and two dogs, Lulu and Milo. We also have a baby coming in spring 2023.

My niches

I’m a big believer in finding beautiful things at all price points. There are so many places to find affordable things, you just have to look for them. If you don't find it at first, look harder.

I’ve been writing about interior design for years and have been obsessed with it for my entire life.

About my Real Home…

We are currently renters although I’ve renovated nearly every rental I’ve ever lived in. From paint, to peel-and-stick tiles, wallpaper, and swapping out light fixtures.

My current apartment has a contemporary design with millennial pink moldings (always paint moldings a unique color—trust me on this), a grasscloth coffee table, and Ghost Chairs. I also have a pink chinoiserie wallpaper in my bedroom that I’m obsessed with.

My fave home buys

I love finding my dream purchases at a better price. I was in love with a Justina Blakeney chandelier for years but just couldn’t justify the cost at Anthropologie. I ended up finding a brand new one on Craigslist of all places for a third of the price.

I am currently working on

I really need a new sofa that will withstand the wrath of my bulldog. It’s his world, I just live in it.
