Having a slow-release soaker hose for your garden plants is an excellent way to keep your water usage to a minimum while directing the water to the parts of the plant that needs it most. Most are made with a porous material that soaks water through it or a plastic hose that has small pinholes that release water faster.

Apex soaker hose is made of an extremely porous yet sturdy rubber that allows water to seep through in an even covering. The 100 feet of hose can be wound around the bottom of hedges and plants to gently soak the roots. It can even be lightly covered over with soil or mulch to hide it from view.

This splitter has two control taps that allow you to use one, or both of the splits. You can easily connect two soaker hoses in to give you more control over when specific plants are watered. You will need to buy two separate hoses though.

Soaker hoses are a great substitute for a complicated and expensive sprinkler system. On average a soaker hose will save you around 30% more water and it can be directed at the spots that need it most.
We liked the Teknor Apex Soil Soaker Hose for our best overall. It's a sturdy soaker that gives an even layer of water along its entire length. It can be easily rolled up when not in use, and is long enough to cover a huge amount of soil.
