My mom always used to tell me that if you “buy cheap, you buy twice.” And while I have truly appreciated her Yoda-like advice over the years (especially during my ~chaotic~ college days), my teeny-tiny salary doesn’t allow me to deck out my equally-teeny-tiny rental in designer couches, top-rated appliances, or expensive decor. Instead, I try to find the middle ground between cheap and chic — and Target is that middle ground, right?
Since moving out and attempting to adult by myself, I’ve found that Target normally has EVERYTHING I could possibly need to function as a human being. And in an effort to find some of the best bed sheets on the market, I’ve realized that Target has nailed it on the head. After all, you should never underestimate the power of some good bed sheets! They can completely transform how well you sleep — and if you’re like me, you probably need *at least* eight hours to be able to string a sentence together the next day. Honestly, I think that Target is one of the best bedding brands out there — especially after writing this guide.
Quick Menu:

The right sheets can transform you from a sleep-deprived troll into a real-life angel, and they’re also a great way to upgrade your bedroom without spending too much money. That’s because most of the bed sheets on this list are under $50 — and they’re all rated over 4 stars by customers just like you and me. How could you go wrong?

No, you don't need to be tested for a new prescription. This Target bedding set really does start at just $9.50! But even if you are lucky enough to have a giant king-size bed (ugh, I’m jealous), you don’t have to shell out loads of your hard-earned money to have some soft sheets. Made from microfiber but brushed for that extra softness, these sheets will feel UGH-MAZING when you jump into bed after a hard day of being a badass. And while this particular set comes in five different colors, why not jazz the whole thing up with a cute li’ throw blanket, too?
Huge color range

As we already know (cheers, Martin), sheets with a thread count of 400 are darn good quality, and this 400 thread count set from Target is even better because it’s made from 100% cotton. Yuh-huh, if you’re someone who struggles to sleep during the warmer months, cotton sheets will literally change the game! That’s because cotton sheets are super breathable, which helps you regulate your body temperature. As if that wasn’t enough, this particular set comes in 13 (!!!!!!) different colors. So, which one will you choose?
Printed and pretty

Love color? Love print? Well, I’ve got your back… with a little help from Target. This super cute (and super cheap) printed bed sheet set is making all of my green bedroom dreams come true, but this particular set doesn’t just come in this green color. From black and white chequerboard to purple daisies, you have five designs to choose from. Or, if you don’t want to choose, you can buy all of them! Almost 2,500 customers have rated this set 4.2 stars out of 5, which just goes to show that you don’t have to spend a fortune to find the best sheets.
Super soft
Made from: Jersey
Sizes: Twin, Full, Queen, King, California King
Includes: 1 x flat sheet, 1 x fitted sheet, 2 x pillowcases
Rating: 4/5
Price: $49 - $90
The right kind of sheets can really make a difference to your sleep, and if you’re willing to spend a *little* extra money on your bed sheets, why not give jersey a try? Jersey sheets are always SUPER soft, and who wouldn’t want to feel as though they’re sleeping on their boyfriend’s T-shirt? But as if that wasn’t enough to win you over, perhaps my favorite thing about jersey fabric is that it’s designed to be wrinkle-resistant. And we all know that wrinkled bed sheets are UG-LAY, right? They won’t even wrinkle when you shove them in your bed sheet organizer.
Easy care
Made from: Cotton, Polyester
Sizes: Twin, Full, Queen, King
Includes: 1 x flat sheet, 1 x fitted sheet, 2 x pillowcases
Rating: 4.4/5
Price: $25 - $45
When the summer months come around, I go ALL IN. I guzzle iced coffee like water, I open my windows wide, and I love to buy summer bed sheets. And how cute would these be for the summertime?! This printed pattern has totally won me over, but there are a few other designs to choose from if you don’t have my same sunny disposition. And don’t worry about you having to do the nightmarish fitted sheet dance with this set. There’s full perimeter elastic to ensure that it stays on your mattress all night… no matter how much you wriggle!
Bedding in a bag
Made from: Microfiber
Sizes: Twin, Twin Extra Long, Full, Queen, King, California King
Includes: 1 x flat sheet, 1 x fitted sheet, 2 x pillowcases
Rating: 4.7/5
Price: $29.99 - $39.99
Target is home to some of the best brands for bed sheets, and this Becky Cameron number should tick all of your boxes - and then some more you didn’t even know you wanted to tick! Made from microfiber, this set is double-brushed and made of finely woven fibers that are super soft and comfortable. And with 19 (!!!!!!) different colors to choose from, I have a feeling that you’ll find one that fits perfectly with the color of your bedroom. As you can probably tell, I’m already obsessed with the ridiculously impressive color options — but did you know that this set also comes with its own reusable bag?! Genius.
Stylish satin
Made from: Satin
Sizes: Twin, Full, Queen, King, California King
Includes: 1 x flat sheet, 1 x fitted sheet, 2 x pillowcases
Rating: 4.2/5
Price: $29.99 - $32.99
If you’ve ever wanted to feel as though you’re in a groovy ‘80s movie, then look no further. Not only are these AMAZING sheets made from satin, but they’re also leopard print!! I mean, it’s an Austin Powers dream come true, right? Yep, satin is a great option for bed sheets if you want to feel as though you’re staying in a luxurious hotel, and it’s especially great for those who suffer from allergies as this fabric is hypoallergenic. You can slide around like a dolphin and not have to worry about dust mites or particles. It’s a win-win situation.
Year-round comfort
Made from: Jersey
Sizes: Twin, Twin Extra Long, Full, Queen, King, California King
Includes: 1 x flat sheet, 1 x fitted sheet, 2 x pillowcases
Rating: 4.6/5
Price: $39.99 - $64.99
You already know how I feel about jersey bed sheets, so can you blame me for adding another amazing set on here? This set comes in so many different colors, but it’s also super practical and durable for a relatively cheap price! That’s because it’s actually 150 GSM fabric (which means that it’s medium weight), and this makes it perfect for all-around use. It will keep you cool during the summer months while providing the perfect amount of coziness during the winter months. But if you’re not sure, this is how often you should wash your sheets.
Eco-friendly option
Made from: Rayon from Bamboo
Sizes: Twin, Twin Extra Long, Full, Queen, King, California King, Split King
Includes: 1 x flat sheet, 1 x fitted sheet, 2 x pillowcases
Rating: 4.4/5
Price: $27.95 - $40.95
Bamboo is a super sustainable material, which is why more and more companies are tending to blend other fabrics with bamboo to make their bed sheets. And this cute li’l set is a blend of rayon from bamboo, microfiber, and elastic — which means it’s sustainable, while still being sustainable and super soft! I have a feeling that you won’t want to leave your bed with these sheets on there, and the clean freaks amongst you will also be happy to know that this bedding set is both anti-pill and fade-resistant. It’ll be perfect forever and ever and ever!
What to consider when buying new bed sheets
I may be a ~sleep expert~ in the sense that I love to sleep and I’m pretty good at it, but I decided to speak to Martin Seeley, Sleep Expert and CEO of MattressNextDay to get some legitimate advice on buying bed sheets. After all, the bed sheet world is a minefield — especially where thread count is concerned! According to Martin, “Thread count is the number of threads woven into one square inch of fabric.” But when it comes to the thread count, bigger doesn’t always mean better. “While a high thread count was once considered a measure of quality for sheets, it’s important to note that it’s not the only factor that determines the quality of sheets,” states Seeley. So, what should you be looking for? He’s revealed, “In general, a thread count between 200 and 800 is considered to be a good range for sheets,” but you also have to be mindful of the small print when it comes to these fabrics. “It's important to consider other factors, such as the quality of the cotton used, the weave of the fabric, and the finishing processes used by the manufacturer, when selecting sheets.”
How we chose these Target bed sheets
All of the bed sheets featured in this guide have been chosen because they are the highest-rated sheets on Target. We’ve only chosen bed sheets that are rated at least four stars out of five, so you can sleep easy (quite literally) knowing that customers are utterly obsessed with them. And for good reason.

Hey there! I'm Lauren, and I've been a writer now for over seven years (wow, that makes me feel old). During that time I've written about everything from celebrities to casino content, but nothing has made me "zing" quite as much as home and lifestyle pieces. I live in a beautiful Victorian terrace house in Kent with my husband and my naughty cocker spaniel puppy, and despite the leaking roof that we can't quite seem to fix, I've loved turning my house into a home. Sure, my eclectic mix of boho chic and maximalism sounds like a clashing nightmare, but it's MY clashing nightmare.
