Next lighting never lets us down. It's super stylish, amazing quality and actually really affordable. It might not be the first place you think of when you want to buy cheap lighting, but you'd be surprised how budget-friendly some Next pieces are. We rounded up some of our faves that you can pick up for under 50 quid to prove our point...

1. A stylish feather light, £40
We've been seeing these feather lights everywhere recently; they used to be super expensive and designer but they have started to filter down to more affordable high street stores. Yay!
And Next have one for just £40. It comes in white or grey and the reviews on the site are gushing. 'Makes me smile every time I switch on the light on'; 'Quality and cost are superb'; and 'Beautiful like a white fluffy cloud' – are just a few of the phrases being bandied about. Sounds dreamy.
2. A minimalist pendant light, £15
Simple, chic and just 15 quid, what's not to love? These would look great grouped together over a kitchen island or a dining table since the exposed bulb does make it a great task light. Style this with an oversized filament bulb for an industrial vibe.
3. A lovely rustic wall light, £40
Gorgeous for this time of year, these antler wall lights would make for a perfect autumnal update. They would work so well either side of of sofa to create a really cosy living room, just add in some tartan throws some sheepskin blankets and there you go. Are you in a hunting lodge in the Highlands or a terrace house in Hertfordshire?
4. A traditional wall light, £30
This would make for perfect kitchen lighting, oooh one each side of a glass fronted cabinet, yes we can see it now. Would also look lovely in a hallway – wall lights just make sense when space is tight but lots of light sources are needed.
5. A funky Mid-century style ceiling light, £50
These kind of Sputnik style lights are definitely having a moment, but because they are so statement they can get a bit expensive. This Next one however is just £50 and we think it looks waaaay more than that! It comes in gold or black, depending if you want a glam or industrial look. The shape of the bulb you choose can also have a big impact.
6. A simple glass (look) pendant light, £18
Would you believe this light is only £18?! Buy three and line them along your hallway or pop two either side of your bed for some lovely bedside lighting. It is actually acrylic but you would never know, just have a read of all the happy people in the reviews who will back us up.
7. A classic metal pendant light, £18
A classic, these metal pendants will never go out of style. They are just £18 at Next and come in six lovely colours, including a really funky red that we are big fans of. Obviously the copper one is a fave among shoppers: 'Beautiful and looks so much more expensive'; totally agree with you there, Gemma.
