If you're a fan of the Great British Bake Off, or you just LOVE baking, then you'll like our essential appliance buys round up which we've enjoyed rustling up for you. Yep. Every year we look forward to the moment when we can sit in front of the television after dinner and indulge in watching all our favourite bakes get... baked.
We've been scouring the tent from our sofas to look out for the appliances and other baking accessories which the contestants are using. Some are more obvious than others so we've included a like-for-like comparison to bring the complete GBBO experience into your kitchen.
Keep scrolling to see our top buys from a selection of retailers then, check out our best food mixer guide for some more baking inspiration.
KitchenAid 4.8L Artisan Stand Mixer | £383.04 at Amazon
This year the stand mixer our GBBO contestants are using is from KitchenAid, and don't they look good? It comes in a huge range of colours to suit all styles of kitchen, and a range of attachments so you can whip up anything from frosting to creamy mashed potato
Although pricey, if you are passionate about baking, this is a stunning food mixer that will look good and stand the test of time on your kitchen worktop.
Amica FDR2213DB 70/30 Fridge Freezer | £370 at AO
This is one of the examples where it is not clear which brand of appliance is being used BUT looking the pop of colours we're seeing across the screen, this Amica model fits the bill nicely. It's available in Duck Egg Blue, Black, Cream and Red so can be bought to suit your decor. It can store up to 11 bags of shopping across the fridge and freezer compartments, too.
Beko HII64201MT Electric Induction Hob | £299 at Currys PC World
Safe and efficient, we love an induction hob here at Real Homes and it looks like this year's GBBO contestants do, too. The hobs will very quickly heat up to get the jams and other sauces boiling and are often controlled by touch. Although there's no guarantee that this Beko model is in use, it is one of the best sellers at Currys PC World and is reasonably priced.
Miele H2265-1B Built In Electric Single Oven | £589 at AO
This integrated electric oven has one of the largest capacities of this type, has all the cooking essentials you need and it comes so reasonably priced (for a Miele), too. Heat is evenly distributed throughout for a quick, even bake. And when you're down baking, it's mega easy to keep clean.
Chef Aid Non-Stick Cake Cooling Tray | £3.99 at Amazon
Okay so this isn't appliance BUT these are great for all types of bakes which will help to cool down your cakes quickly, with or without the flapping of a baking tray to (try) to cool them down quicker. We won't be without one next to the oven.
John Lewis & Partners Embossed Mixing Bowl | £25 at John Lewis & Partners
And okay, neither is this an appliance but it is a very similar colour to the mixing bowl colour which we've screen on GBBO this season so we just had to share it. It's made from bowl china and is beautifully embossed for the addition of a bit of texture in the kitchen, too.
