As you can imagine, we get very excited about a new Ikea collection, especially at this time of year, because you just know whatever they come up with is going to be glorious cosy and hygge-esque. So, since we know you also love a new Ikea range, we have taken it upon ourselves to round up some of our fave bits...
The new collection is called Varmer. We stuck it into Google Translate and the direct translation was 'heater'. We are sure in the Scandi languages it means something much more profound and lovely like 'hugging', but you still get the idea that this collection is warm, cosy and welcoming. It's also all super affordable which we always like to see, so keep on scrolling to find out more.
If you love finding great value homeware, make sure you check out our deals hub page too, you'll always find a bargain over there.
1. Ikea lighting that's so left field it's in another field
Let's start off with some Ikea lighting because we know how much you love a bit of that. This unusual looking little thing is actually a portable, dimmable light that you can charge up and carry around your home. It creates a really soft, cosy glow that's perfect for this time of year plus it's only £19!
2. An expensive looking (but cheap) chandelier
How gorgeous is this chandelier? We can just imagine it hung over the Christmas table adding a warm glow to all your guests (or maybe that's just the copious amounts of snowballs everyone has consumed). It's definitely not just a festive piece though, this would look lovely in a dining room, or hung over a kitchen island at any time of year. Oh and guess how much it is? £22! It's just £22!
3. Wall sconces for soft lighting and tons of hygge appeal
Oooh we just want to line our hallway with these stunning wall sconces, £12! The glow of the candle reflects in the mirror behind, spreading even more of that atmospheric candlelight around your space. These would look lovely either side of a sofa to add a soft light to your living room.
4. A trug that we want right now
This is possibly one of our favourite pieces from the new Ikea collection. This basket, £35, is really versatile too – you can use it to store books and magazines as you can see above, or roll up some throws so you can have extras on hand, you could even use it to store logs (even if you don't have a wood-burning stove, this would still look really pretty).

5. A bench that will always be useful somewhere
Loving the subtle festiveness that's going on here. The bench, £90, that's part of the new collection just creates a perfect surface for adding a bit of interest to a hallway. You could, of course, also use it as it is intended, and pop it near the front door as a place to sit and take off or put on shoes. The design is lovely and simple and the ash wood would easily fit into any scheme.
6. Cushions with a distinct designer look
Of course, there are some cushions, £4 each, in the new Ikea collection. The jute is bang on trend and the unusual print is eye-catching but isn't going to become the focus of your room or anything. They are only four quid too, so make for the perfect quick update for your space.
7. Dinnerware for Christmas – and well beyond
There are a few bits of kitchenware in the collection too. How cute are those little mugs, ideal for mulled wine don't you think? And they are just £4.50 for a set of two! The jugs start from just £7 and the lovely matching serving plate is just £13 – the perfect cheese plate we reckon.
