Investing in LED lighting this fall despite the Trump administration axing the switch to LED lightbulbs by 2020? You're doing the right thing. LED lights are up to 80 per cent more efficient than the more traditional incandescent or fluorescent lightbulbs. This is because LEDs convert most of the energy they use (95 per cent) into light, rather than wasting it as heat. They're also incredibly energy efficient: a typical 84 watt fluorescent can be replaced by a 36 watt LED, which means much less electricity used.
