This tiny NYC apartment shows how a counterintuitive choice of a four-poster bed can revolutionize a small space

When decorating a small bedroom, you'd wouldn't expect an opulent four-poster bed to make it onto the moodboard. But renowned design duo, Robert and Cortney Novogratz, have proven that a Bridgerton-inspired bed can totally be incorporated into our future small bedroom ideas.

The married couple and founders of the home brand The Novogratz recently designed their daughter Tallulah's first apartment, located in NYC. They opted for The Novogratz Marion Canopy Bed, and it has made the bedroom sing.

The pair has been designing high-end residences and boutique hotels for over 25 years in places like Manhattan and L.A, so we are taking notes for when we next need to decorate an apartment

The Novogratz Marion Canopy Bed

The city apartment is a small but mighty space, with a bedroom to match. The Marion Canopy Bed in white metal makes a real statement, creating a clear focal point without feeling bulky.

We're loving this bold choice and think that going for a four-poster bed with a large, modern silhouette adds way more drama than a standard bed frame might. It goes without saying that choosing one of the best beds for a perfect night's sleep will make all the difference when planning a room.

And The Novogratz's small bedroom shows that a grand four-poster won't look out of place in a tighter space. The frame draws the eye upwards, while the choice of white keeps things light and airy. Perfect if you're trying to make a small bedroom look bigger.

Make a statement in your small bedroom with this modern four-poster bed from The Novogratz. Available in gold, black, white and gunmetal gray to suit your style. You can also get the Marion Canopy Bed in full, queen or king size.

The oversized vibes continue from the bed through the artwork and throw pillows. Lots of little prints in a gallery wall or too many small pillows would make things feel cluttered. Although counterintuitive, bigger items are a great option if you're working with a tiny space.

The exact bed is at an affordable price of $279 – we think we'd opt for the black version for a graphic look, although gold could look super stylish too.

Small spaces like Tallulah Novogratz's New York apartment pose a whole host of design challenges. Next time we're tackling a space with limited square footage, we'll be seeing how big and bold we can go with our furniture.
