The latest Ikea kitchen stopped us in our tracks when we spotted it. The BODARP (we're thinking that translates from Swedish into English as 'looks designer, isn't, you can afford it') is in this year's must-include colour – a deep, murky, delicious green – shown here with equally cool pull handles. The finish is matt, too – we're so over those show-every-single-fingerprint gloss kitchens. Better still, the finish is resistant to moisture and staining, and easy to clean.
We love it matched with the blonde wood (see below) but we think it would look fabulous with darker stained worktops, too.
But there's so much more to it than just the colour and finish. Yup, it's got an eco-conscious side to it too. BODARP is produced in factories using renewable electricity and featuring a foil made of recycled PET bottles. We're totally on board with that (wondering, too, whether Greta Thunberg might be eyeing it up for her future eco pad?).
Thought this might come with a huge price tag? Think again – BODARP 60cm x 80cm doors, which like others in the Ikea range are attached to the carcasses – cost just £35 – although you do need to buy hinges and handles separately. Those gorgeous leather handles are called ÖSTERNÄS by the way. Check them out too.
