Fall is a matter of days away, and we can't wait to embrace the coziest season with scented candles, endless hot chocolates and the softest blankets. Buying a couple of new blankets is a fab, cheap fall decor idea that adds texture and color.
However, it's easy to get carried away. If you have one too many blankets, check out this TikTok folding hack we put to the test, which transforms blankets into a pillow.
First, lay the blanket out flat (lengthways) and fold it into thirds. Fold from the top, long edge, then from the bottom edge.
This should give you a nice long strip that looks something like this...
Next, fold inwards from the left end towards the right - but not all the way. You're folding to make a small rectangular shape.
It should look like the image below.
Keep folding the little rectangle over itself to build up to a small parcel. It should feel like a snowball effect with each fold making it feel bigger.

Leave a bit of the blanket at the end unfolded. Fold this extra bit inwards and push the parcel inside the pocket made by the ends of the blanket
I placed and pushed it in rather than trying to turn the extra material inside out and tucking it in like when you fold a pair of socks together. Otherwise, it started to fall apart.
When you're done, you should have a nice little pillow you can put wherever you want. Pop it in your living room or bedroom and it'll be ready to unfurl if you get cold.
Folding it on the leather sofas in our rented flat made the process a little slippery, and I think it would work better with a thinner blanket. But, overall, it was a success.
It stores the large blanket neatly and takes up very little space - making it a great storage idea.
