Why you can trust Real Homes
As the owner of two small dogs living in a Victorian terraced house renowned for attracting dust, I was more than excited to give this sought-after vacuum cleaner a run for its money. I mean, it promises a whopping 60-minute run time on just one charge and also has three different suction modes to handle everything from laminate to thick carpet. Tbh, it sounded a little too good to be true.
Well, I’ve tested this vacuum in every single room of my home, from the tiles in the kitchen to the laminate in the sitting room to the carpet on the stairs.
Aside from its thorough cleaning ability, I was excited to learn that the Samsung Jet 90 also enjoys a multi-layer filtration system, so dust particles won’t be pushed back into the air. Plus, everything is completely washable, including the main dust bin, so there’s no danger of a smelly vacuum after a few uses. Even better? The Samsung Jet 90 came with several attachments to ensure that it can suction out the dust from any corner of my home and can easily be stored away when not in use. In fact, its charging station is one of the highlights — and one of the main reasons I'll be keeping it.
Keep on reading for the rest of my thoughts and to find out whether it's really worth its price — whether you're a pet owner or not. I'll say it before we begin, but it's undoubtedly one of the best cordless vacuums I've ever tested.
TLDR: What I thought of the Samsung Jet 90 Pet
Yes, it's one of the best vacuums out there for picking up pet hair. It excels in most areas, from battery life to its range of attachments to suction power. Not only that, but it's so easy to use. It comes with a freestanding charging station that actually looks nice (though it does take up some space on your floor) and speaking of looks — it's definitely not an eyesore. Emptying its bin can be a little bit annoying, but that's really my only complaint.
Testing the Samsung Jet 90 Pet
Hi! I'm Rachael, a freelancer here at Real Homes. I tested this machine for around a month before writing this review. Because I have two small terrier dogs who like to leave their mark in terms of fur and rogue bits of kibble all over my house, it had a really good workout. I received this unit from ao.com, and the brand thankfully allowed me to keep the vacuum. I rate it highly and will be replacing my current Shark vacuum with this Samsung one.

Unboxing the Samsung Jet 90 Pet
When the vacuum turned up at my door, I was shocked at how compact the box was. Samsung used all cardboard in its packaging and everything was recyclable. This is excellent news for anyone like me who has curbside recycling and, therefore, a limit on how much they can put out each week because this box folded up neatly in my little recycling box.
Upon opening the box, I thought that I was in for a challenge. The vacuum is shipped flat pack style, and it looked more like a build-your-own kit than other brands I’ve tried. But my initial concern was soon laid to rest as putting this vacuum together was really easy. Also, just handling each individual element of the vacuum gave a good indication of how high quality and well-built this machine is.
The Samsung Jet 90 has various attachments, including a mini motorized tool, turbo action brush, combination and extension crevice tool, and a Z-station charging stand. You can purchase add-on accessories separately, including additional batteries, a sweeping spinner tool, and a clean station that will make emptying the bin easier.
Who will the Samsung Jet 90 Pet suit?
The Samsung Jet 90 is not only a perfect solution for pet owners looking to remove pet hair and dander from their homes effectively but also for anyone seeking a sturdy, dependable vacuum with superior suction power. Its lightweight design makes moving from room to room and multi-level cleaning easy. Plus, the built-in HEPA filter, which captures 99.97% of dust and allergens, makes it a great option for anyone with allergies or asthma. Renters will rejoice, too, as the charging station is freestanding and therefore doesn’t need to be attached to the wall, unlike some other popular brands.
What’s the Samsung Jet 90 Pet like to use?
Believe me when I tell you that using the Samsung Jet 90 is an absolute dream. It picks up fur and debris like no other vacuum I've owned. I currently own a Ninja Shark, so I already have a good vacuum, but I'm still blown away by its powerful performance and sleek good looks.
On carpet
I tested this vacuum on various flooring, including carpet, tile, and laminate. One of the standout features of the Jet 90 is that it has powerful suction and will leave nothing behind. Even on its lowest suction setting, I found that it did a good job of picking up crumbs, dust, and pet hair from all surfaces. Max mode meant that even the most stubborn and ground in dirt and pet hair was easily removed. The vacuum also features a special pet hair strainer that captures hair and prevents it from clogging the filter, ensuring maximum suction power at all times, and if you have dogs or cats, you'll know just what a good function that is. The vacuum also has a generously sized dustbin, so you won't have to empty it as often. I'm embarrassed to say my carpet looked a different color after I used this vacuum, despite daily vacuuming with my current cleaner.
On hard flooring
This vacuum works exceptionally well on hard floorings such as laminate and tile. I found the max suction mode was a little too strong for my bathroom vinyl flooring, but on low mode, it still gave outstanding results. It's a bummer that there's no dedicated guide light on this model to help you see any areas you may have missed.
In the car
I have to hold my hands up. My car looks like a disaster zone at the best of times, but after walks with the dogs, you'll want to wipe your feet on the way out. This machine really did a good job, I used the mini motorized tool to get rid of the caked-on dirt and pet hair and the crevice tool to get any loose grime that had fallen down the sides of the seat. The filtration system also meant the car smelled super fresh after vacuuming.
Attachments
The Samsung Jet 90 comes with a range of attachments and tools, including a pet hair turbo brush and a crevice tool, making it easy to reach tight spaces and corners. Thanks to the innovative design, they clip onto the charging station, so you'll never be left rooting around under the stairs trying to find that attachment you need for the job. I've got to say that all the attachments worked well. The turbo action brush worked well for everyday jobs, but it worked wonderfully on carpeted areas thanks to its stiff bristles, which could dig down deep into the pile. It also has a 180-degree swivel head, so you can easily maneuver around furniture. I found that the mini motorized tool was perfect for the stairs, the back of the car, and furniture. Then the crevice and combination tool will help you get to those hard-to-reach areas making light work of dust webs, cleaning blinds, or even getting right into the corners.
Modes
This vacuum has three suction modes. Min, medium, and max. It automatically goes to medium when you first switch the machine on, which does a good job for everyday cleaning. There's a handy digital display that lets you see which mode you're using as well as gives you information on how much charge is left and troubleshooting alerts if the vacuum gets blocked. Samsung claims that it uses the same design as a jet engine (hence the name), and when it's in max mode it spins faster than a Formula 1 car's engine. This seems accurate, given that when it's on max mode, it has a suction power of up to 200 watts, and you can feel the power while moving it around the floor.
Design
At the end of the day, this is a vacuum cleaner, not a work of art, so technically, it shouldn’t matter what it looks like. Except, who wants a clunky, old-fashioned-looking appliance messing up the aesthetic of their home? The good news is the Samsung Jet 90 is sleek and modern, with a lightweight and easy to maneuver body. There’s no trigger handle for operation, instead, everything is operated via the top display. One of my favorite design features of this vacuum is the telescopic handle on both the main machine and the crevice tool. The telescopic pipe has four different sizes ranging from 93 cm to 114 cm, so it’s really easy for getting under furniture or reaching higher-up areas.
Battery life
This vacuum offers an impressive 60-minute run time on a full battery, of course, this does lessen when you use max mode, but you can still get a full house clean done on one single charge. It takes around 3.5 hours to fully charge, so not too long if your cleaning session gets interrupted. I tested the battery by running the vacuum over my entire house (four rooms downstairs, three upstairs, and the stairs) as well as my car, and I managed to get it all done on one charge, which I was really surprised about as other brands don’t even last 20 minutes.
Bin capacity
The Samsung Jet 90 has a generous 0.8-liter bin, and because it’s made from clear plastic, you can see when it’s time to empty.
The bin, which calls itself EZClean Dust Bin, isn’t quite as easy as it seems, in fact, it's so fiddly that it takes longer to remove and replace it than it does to clean the house. This is the only thing that lets the machine down, even after using it for a month, I still struggle with emptying the bin. There is an additional product you can purchase called the Samsung Clean Station, which automatically empties, cleans, and maintains the vacuum filters. But although this would make the whole process a lot easier, it is quite expensive and another thing you’d have to store at home.
Cleaning the Samsung Jet 90 Pet
Keeping this vacuum clean is really easy because almost every single part of it can be cleaned. Both the dust bin and cyclone can be removed and washed with warm water. It also comes with a handy bristle brush to brush away excess dust before you wash it. The Mirco filter, which is located just inside the dust bin needs to be dusted regularly, and at least once a month, you can wash it in water. The HEPA filter can also be removed but don’t use water with this, to keep it clean, you need to wipe and brush away any of the dust it’s collected. It is worth noting that any part that is washed using water needs to be thoroughly dried before the next use to avoid damage. The LED display will also highlight when there’s any kind of obstruction or missing filter, so make sure you put it all back correctly.
This vacuum cleaner uses a multi-filtration system which will not only ensure that even the most minuscule particles will be lifted from your surfaces but also stop that dust from being pushed back into the air. The filter is also washable, and thanks to the motor and cyclones being designed in a way to keep less dust from accumulating on the filter, there is very little chance of it clogging up during use.
Storage and maintenance
The Samsung Jet 90 comes with a free-standing storage and charging rack named the Z-Station. It’s a really good system because the rack allows you to store all the accessories and the main machine, which it stores upright and charges while in position. It doesn’t need to be wall mounted, so that’s great news for renters who don’t want to drill holes in the walls. But it does mean that you will need to find a dedicated spot for your machine.
And we have to say, the stand is pretty heavy, so it’s not something you’ll want to move around a lot. Thankfully, because of the telescopic pole, it reduces its vertical footprint as it is stored in its smallest position. There’s also space on the Z-station for an additional battery, so if you’ve got a large home and think it’ll take longer than the 60-minute cleaning time to complete, you can always have a spare battery on hand. The only real downside of the charging station is the cable isn’t that long, so you will need to find a place to store it quite close to a power outlet.
Price and availability
The Samsung Jet 90 costs $649.99 and can be purchased from a variety of online stores. If you want to include the cleaning station, then it’ll cost you $799.99. Accessories can also be purchased separately, such as the Samsung Jet Spinning Sweeper, which is $129, and additional batteries are $149.99.
How does the Samsung Jet 90 Pet rate online?
The Samsung Jet 90 rates exceptionally well online. Users love how long the battery lasts, how powerful the suction is, and how it’s quite a bit cheaper than the Dyson alternative. The only negatives that this machine really got were the dust bin and how finicky it was to remove and empty. And some users found that it was difficult to navigate when on max mode as the suction was so strong it made it difficult to push.
How does the Samsung Jet 90 Pet compare to similar models?
There are a few models that are similar to the Samsung Jet 90. If you have a larger budget to splash on your next vacuum, then look at The Dyson V11 Outsize. It has the same long run time of up to 60 minutes and a HEPA filter that can capture 99.97% of particles as small as 0.3 microns. Plus, it ships with a variety of attachments for cleaning different surfaces. However, the Dyson V11 Outsize is a lot more expensive, coming in at around $899.99, compared to the Samsung Jet 90, which is priced at just $649.99.
And then, of course, there are other models in the Samsung Jet line. If you’re looking for a similar style machine but on a budget, the Samsung Jet 60 Turbo is priced at around $279 and enjoys 40 minutes of run time, the same 0.8-liter bin, and enjoys a powerful jet cyclone trap with up to 150 watts of power.
The Samsung Bespoke Jet Pro is the premium vacuum in the Jet lineup. It runs for 60 minutes on a single charge, includes the all-in-one cleaning station, which will empty and charge your vacuum, and comes with premium accessories such as the jet dual brush and pet tool. But this machine won’t just vacuum, it will also mop and suck up any liquid thanks to the spray-spinning sweeper. This is priced at $899.99, which makes it great value if you want to enjoy the extras and built-in cleaning station.
Should you buy the Samsung Jet 90 Pet?
The Samsung Jet 90 Pet is a powerful and innovative cordless vacuum that is perfect for pet owners. It is equipped with advanced features such as a multi-layer filtration system, washable parts and various attachments. It really is a great choice for anyone looking for a reliable, efficient, and easy-to-use vacuum cleaner. Priced at £349 it’s a really reasonable price point when considering similar vacuums from other brands. Plus, it is so well built that the price doesn't reflect the quality as it feels much more expensive and luxurious. Plus, this isn’t a vacuum that’ll only last a year or two before it packs up, it will be with you for a long time. It really doesn’t matter if you have a small apartment or a large house, this is a great choice. I found it really easy to move from room to room, floor to floor. To sum it up, if you’re looking for a great vacuum that is lightweight, powerful and reasonably priced, you should definitely purchase the Samsung Jet 90 Pet.
